Encounter Sports Paintball Field Closing

It is my sad duty to inform everyone that Encounter Sports Paintball Field will be closed for the 2009 season. The current economic situation has caused much distress in the recreational business community, and unfortunately, this is the decision we have come to. We will continue to look at our financial situation closely to determine when we might be able to re-open the field. Currently, we are looking at resuming operations in 2010, if feasible, or earlier, if possible.

I would like to say “Thank You” to everyone who has come out to the field since our opening in 2003. It has been a pleasure for Diane and I to get to know everyone and we hope that the time you spent at the field was enjoyable. We will both miss the sound of marker fire on the weekends.

I would like to say a special “Thank You” to the guys that worked with Diane and I out at the field; Mark, Nick, Shawn and Todd. The field would not have been the same without you. A business is only as good as the people that work there, and we were fortunate to always have a great staff. I would also like to say “Thanks” to all the members of Team Encounter, both past and present. It was because of your personal sacrifices and hard work that we not only had the best reffing at events in the area, but you also brought back to our area the 2007 PSP National Series Championship title. Thanks for everything you’ve done, guys, and keep moving forward.
