What is Paintball?
 

Paintball is one of America’s fastest growing sports. It’s a game of strategy patterned after our favorite childhood games – Hide and Seek, Capture the Flag, Cowboys and Indians – all in one. Each player is equipped with a paintball marker (air powered gun) designed to fire paintballs which mark the target on impact. Paintball give players a chance to test their individual skills and tactics and also stresses teamwork, communication and friendly competition.

 
 

What are paintballs?
 

Paintballs are soft gelatin capsules similar to vitamin capsules filled with a non-toxic, non-caustic, non-flammable, water-soluble and biodegradable color dye.

 
 

Who plays paintball?
 

Men and women of all ages play paintball. (Minors with parental consent only). Strategy and teamwork is more significant than strength and stamina. Players include professionals, students, church groups and law enforcement personnel to name a few.

 
 

Is paintball safe?
 

Paintball is a safe and enjoyable sport provided that appropriate protection is worn and safety rules are understood and followed. Insurance statistics show that paintball is safer than golf, bowling, jogging or swimming.

The paintball markers (guns) have been specifically engineered for the sport. The power and accuracy have been balanced to insure an enjoyable game. The marker is not a toy! The marker safety handling procedures should be understood to avoid misuse and injury.

Safety is stressed at all times on and off the field. Paintball approved safety mask and goggles to protect the eyes are mandatory unless in designated areas. Barrel bags and plugs are also required to prevent paintballs accidentally fired from leaving your marker’s barrel.

 
 

Does a paintball shot hurt?

  
 

As with any object coming at you at 300 feet per second, a paintball shot will definitely be felt. The paintballs impact can be startling and the sensation likens to when one is snapped with a wet towel. This feeling usually disappears fairly quickly, however, leaving one anxious to go back for more.

 
 

What should I wear?

  
 

It is recommended to wear knee pads, athletic supporters, baggy clothes, long pants, long sleeve shirt and high top boots or shoes for ankle support. The mandatory safety equipment is a paintball approved mask and goggles (facemask) to protect your eyes.

 
 

Do I need my own equipment?

  
 

Many passionate players have their own equipment but we have everything you need to play at the field.

Encounter Sports USA accepts merchandise returned within 15 days of the delivery date. The item(s) must be unused and in perfect condition. Credit on credit cards will be made upon receiving returned item(s). Shipping and handling is non-refundable unless an error was made by the company. Please send an email to info@encountersports.com to request a return authorization number. Ship returned item(s) prepaid, in the original packaging.

Encounter Sports USA will gladly exchange item(s) with the exact dollar value of the original item(s) within 15 days of delivery date. Please send an email to info@encountersports.com to request exchange. Ship exchanged item(s) prepaid, in the original packaging. The company will bill your credit card for shipping and handling on the date the exchanged item(s) are sent out. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Encounter Sports USA reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee if the returned or exchanged item(s) is determined to have been used or opened.

Shipping:

Encounter Sports USA ships all order(s) via UPS ground service or USPS insured mail. Please allow 3-12 business days for your order(s) to arrive.

Express or overnight deliveries can be arranged by sending us an email at info@encountersports.com. Additional charges apply.

For shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Mexico, Canada and other international territories, please send us an email at info@encountersports.com to arrange delivery. Additional charges apply.
